Josep Maria Bartomeu believes Sunday's derby showed that Barcelona remains "the best club in the world".
Lastly, it is widely rumored that Barcelona cycle has come to an end, as the team most players are over 30 years now.
The decline of form recently was seen as evidence that the team is falling, and allowed Real Madrid to take the head of the table. But Bartomeu says Tata Martino boys showed their class in dramatic 4-3 victory against Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu.
"For us, nothing changes. We have a great belief in the players. "
"Personally, I have always said that our boys are the best in the world and on Sunday they showed it again."
"They played very well," Bartomeu told AFP.
